How It All Began
We're not new to this.
Our families have been farmers for generations. We grew up around cows, fresh milk, and the slow rhythm of making food the way our grandparents did. Ghee wasn't a product for us; it was simply a part of home.
When we moved to the city, we tried many brands. Popular ones, organic ones, expensive ones, everything we could find. But something was always missing. Those idlis or the Pappannam didn't have the same taste anymore. The aroma wasn't right. The taste felt off. Something was off. The comfort just wasn't there.
That's when we realized, if we can't find the ghee we grew up with, we'd make it ourselves.
We started small. Just for our own kitchen. Then for a few family members. Word spread quietly, and people kept coming back, asking for more. What began as something deeply personal slowly became something we wanted to share.
That's how Nilaya was born.
We didn't set out to build a brand. We set out to recreate the purity, aroma, and warmth of genuine, homemade ghee. Because we believe that's what every home deserves. Hence, this one is from our homes to yours.
